ImmunoLin’s proteins are larger and more complex than other common protein sources (whey, casein, egg), which results in a slower rate of digestion and higher retention of biological activity. ImmunoLin may be combined (ie – in a nutrition bar or shake) along with simpler proteins with faster digestion rates in order to optimize protein utilization.*

Immunoglobulin proteins, also known as antibodies, are specialized soluble proteins produced by both the adaptive and innate immune systems. In the body, they circulate systemically in plasma and reside on mucosal surfaces. Immunoglobulin is not absorbed when orally ingested, so its primary function is to support immune function within the digestive tract.*

Over 70 percent of all daily immune system challenges are encountered in the gut. The human intestinal track is the largest exposed mucosal body surface, and it produces 5 to 10 grams of immunoglobulin (secretory IgA) to provide a gate-keeping immune system response.
