Fiber-Select� is the Standard form of chicory inulin for human and pet applications. It is a mixture of oligo and polysaccharides, which are composed of fructose units linked together by β(2-1) linkages. Almost every molecule is terminated by a glucose unit. The number of fructose molecules linked together determines the DP (degree of polymerization) or molecular weight of FOS. Chicory inulin has a DP range between 2 and 60 fructose units.
